Former NJTF-1 and Palisades SAR Dog Association canine “Ruger” was put to rest on Friday, June 20th, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.

He was one of the first group of K9s on the NJ Task Force. “Ruger” was deployed with the team at the 1999 Bound Brook flood where he flushed out a reluctant resident hiding in a home that was supposed to be evacuated. He was retired from the team in 2000 and lived a long happy life as our family pet. His kind and friendly personality will be dearly missed.
